I've been settling into my new full time status as a Los Angelite- excited to merge into my new communities. Lucky for me there was an event in Venice this week that not only introduced me to some great new people (Zolee Griggs I mean you!), but also a super cool jewelry line called Miansai. I stopped by for a sneak peek of their store opening. You may recognize Miansai's metal anchor wrap bracelets. I did. They were originally for men, but that didn't stop us ladies from piling them on alongside our other bracelets. Now, Miansai is expanding into women's jewelry and unisex accessories like backpacks and travel bags. Yes, yes and yes.
I chatted with the founder and creative director, Michael Saiger (Miansai comes from the first letters of his full name Michael Andrew Siager), and learned about his commitment to quality. When Miansai first started, he created a space for their in-house manufacturing that to this day has every piece pass through their hands. Not only that, but I learned that with the opening (May 13th) of their Venice store location (on Abbot Kinney) there will be a Kombucha bar in the back that serves up fresh juice and fizzy Kombucha mocktails (yum!) and that the sales from the Kombucha bar will go towards supporting the Venice Arts programs. Thanks Miansai for a lovely event and congrats on the new store!
